Introduction of Tochigi Prefecture

Tochigi is located in central Japan and approximately 60~160km north of Tokyo. Tochigi prefecture, with a population of about two million as of 2008, has its government in Utsunomiya City at the center of the prefecture. Tochigi's environment is splendid, being surrounded by nature. while at the same time being close to a large city, Tokyo. Nikko is registered as a world heritage and is famous worldwide.


Access

Getting to Tokyo takes about 90 minutes by train or about 45 minutes by Shinkansen. Limousine services are available daily from Utsunomiya station to Narita Airport.
